Beth Fields Fried and Steve Fried
Steve and I decided on one bio, since we have shared one life (save our college years) since junior year at NRHS, where we met in Mr. Farndon’s homeroom.

Steve went west to the University of Missouri while I attended Westchester Community College and then Katherine Gibbs in NYC. Education complete, we married and within 6 months left New York for Florida and his Navy training at Pensacola. I waited out his tour in Fort Lauderdale and we remained there for 25 years and had two daughters. During this time Steve got his MBA at the University of Miami and started a management consulting company.

In the early 90’s we moved west to Seattle where we stayed for 22 years. Steve has been mostly self-employed as a Management Consultant and I have worked for a variety of companies as an Executive Assistant, most recently AT&T. In January we finally ditched the rain and gloom of the Seattle area and moved ourselves, and much of the same stuff we hauled across the country 20 years ago, back to Florida. This time we chose Palm Harbor in the Tampa Bay area where we have family. We consider ourselves semi-retired. Steve has a few consulting projects he is working on and I am employed part-time at a local medical office. We are enjoying a laid-back lifestyle, with plenty of shopping and eating and trips to the beach.

Our girls have given us three grandkids. The younger with her husband and son has just moved close to us in Palm Harbor, nothing could have made us happier!  Our older daughter and her family are in Stockholm, Sweden. It’s a great place for us to visit and they love Florida so we expect to see them regularly.
