"Proudly he shall serve"

Remembered by his wife, Catherine Cioffoletti Anderson:

Bob,
You were and still will remain the love of my life. You fought so hard for your family. You are missed everyday but we have great memories to keep you alive always.

Love You Forever,
Cathy

After high school I married my high school sweetheart Robert Anderson class of 64. I became a housewife and mother to 4 children. After my children were grown I went to work for Ophthalmologist Henry Futterman and then Dr. Morris Osowsky until 2001 and retired. My husband passed away in July 2016 and I currently live in Patterson, NY.

Robert “Bob” Anderson Sr., 70, Patterson, NY, formerly of New Rochelle, NY, died peacefully on July 30, 2016 after courageously fighting cancer for 12 years ending his last 2 with leukemia. Bob was a loving husband of 49 years and best friend of 52 years to Catherine Cioffoletti Anderson, father to Patty (Richard), Mickey, Judy and Bobby (Heather). Grandpa to Janice, Ryan, Jessica, Jonathan, Jared, Kyle, Sarah, Christopher, Emma and Nicholas. He also leaves behind his sisters Judy (Charlie) McBride and Sandy (Vinnie) Cafarelli, cousin Rod Lamb who was like a brother to him; brother-in-law to Albert Cioffoletti, John (Mary) Cioffoletti, Lori Cioffoletti, Mary Jane Anderson, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Bob is predeceased by his parents John and Loretta (Hansen) Anderson, his brother John Anderson, brother-In-law Mike Cioffoletti and his dog sons Rocky and Dusty.

Bob was a Mail Carrier for 35 years with the Larchmont Post Office, retiring in 2001 and 25 years as a Superintendent of 1 The Blvd. New Rochelle, NY. Since retiring he has kept himself busy with his passion for home projects and keeping everyone else busy with him. Throughout his illness he never lost his spirit for life.

We would like to thank Dr. Seiter and her staff from the Hudson Valley Hematology & Oncology Office for their dedication, excellent care and for keeping up with his incredible strength and will to live. Thank you to Nasir for the friendship you have given him during his journey. Lastly a special thank you to all of his “Girls” and few Buddies of the 7th floor at Westchester Medical Center. With his awesome loving boyish personality and all of your bubbly love and positive care, you made the perfect couple. Nobody looked forward to his hospital stays more then him to be able to see all of you and to keep you smiling.

No services are to follow. Bob’s wishes are to be cremated and to remain at home. Remember his huge heart and infectious smile and honor him by making a donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital... and he also requests you Vote for Hillary!
